BBC Online

Thanks to our delightful friends we are once again featured on the BBC, this time on BBC online with a gallery featuring photos from Mark Jaffe. It will give you a taste for what to expect from the exhibition, and shows some of our highlights. Enjoy!

If you’re a Twit…

OK, so we’re only just getting to know all this social media malarkey, but we do now have a hash tag #leedsmusichistory. So if you’re a Twit, like Tweeting, and are on Twitter, then please hash tag us or however it goes…. our leading lady is on there – katiejanehill – find her and follow her….

Thanks to Wrath Records

Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to Steve Morricone at Wrath Records for bringing down a pile of 7″ records, CDs and posters to donate to the exhibition yesterday. We will be displaying them, and then will auction them to raise funds for the project.

Wrath Records is a Leeds based label bent on purveying quality leftfield alternative popular music, and is home to the likes of The Eureka Machines, Scaramanga Six and Amoeba to Zebra. And we love them, so thank you, please buy their records.

And we’re on….

YES – Where were you? The Leeds Music History Exhibition is up and running and had nearly 300 visitors in the first two days. A massive thanks to Leeds City Council for giving us the space, and to all of the contributers who have loaned their memorabilia to us. We are open until 27th August Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm with a gig or talk every day at 1pm – listing on the Gigs page.
